Uncle ‘Gene Got Something to Say

This is a digital painting done in ArtRage on an iPad Pro 11 with the apple pencil. I completed this in April in response to how the coronal virus shut down alot of businesses. I got into my creative mindset and started pivoting in regards to how I can grow as an artist in these times. I was advised to name Uncle Eugene or ‘Gene because he reminds me of this older gentleman that don’t say much but when you talk to him he has a lot to say. He’s sitting there waiting to share his wisdom upon those that need it whether they like what he has to say or not. I feel that he’s needed to as we are constantly in a panic and are overwhelmed with sadness and anger from the pandemic. He could ease folks by telling them how he got through in his day.
